We Reap What We Sow
Our lives are lived in the fast lane
Not a moment to witness another's
pain
So content are we with our good
fortune
We fear to look lest we
confront dire destitution
Our desire is to help
and yet we take flight
Not to be bogged down by another's
plight
The world we live yet is round
What we do comes around
The good we do we are sure to reap
The bad we do can only lead to grief
Heaven be kind and not make us blind
To those in need whose wounds we must
bind
When our call does come, we are not
bereft
But full of joy to be in Him at rest.
